An Era of Contradiction
We have just finished the Revolutionary Era, including the Industrial Revolution. Now, we are moving into the 19th Century. Ideologies of the past will collide. The conservativism of the Bourgeoisie will rise while the Aristocrats take one last stand in attempting to maintain control. England moves to the right. And the Age of Metternich is born.
But, what is this? Rather than putting an end to the new ideologies, nationalism and liberalism that was born in the 18th Century will continue to grow. This is called Romanticism!
Reactionary (extreme conservativism) vs. Romantic liberalism and nationalism will crash together and will forge the 19th century.
If you have time, google "romanticism" and the "age of metternich." You might be able to understand more of this.

It is a contradiction in the idea that the radical thoughts of the romantics, socialists, and anarchists are growing in an area that was supposed to shut them down. Ponder that!
