Wildfrenchie, your view on the British is true. How do Prussia, Austria, Russia, and France measure up?

Ironically, Great Britain's history is about to level out. After 1850, the British are "yesterday's leader" attempting to maintain its power. But, Prussia is emerging with the Hohenzollern's in power.

The future of the US is pretty unclear. I do believe our peak was 1991 with the ending of both the Cold War and the Modern Age. The US was the last holder of Western Dominance and now we see the shattering of the world underneath. The foundation of the Cold War was the domination of the new countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Today, that foundation that secured US dominance is gone. Rather than needing us, these rising national powers (including China, African states, and Middle Eastern States) pose a threat not as a military attack but an economic attack. Bill Clinton and George W. seem to be the worse presidents for the ending of the Modern Age.

The Revolutions are basically revolutions that should have taken place hundred years ago, but the West held in check during the Cold War. Once these revolutions settle, nationalism will rise against the West and the US.

Free Trade and the economic competition between the US and India as well as with China and other Asian states will cause our economy to falter if nothing is done
