Hey Was I am on page 11 of the big chart booklet. Anyway for the outcome of the War of 1812 I put it was mostly a draw since American lands were returned but Britain didn't lose any land either. America got back its right to trade with France too, but I think at that point Britain didn't care about the colonies trading with France because Napoleon was almost defeated. I am right? If not what should I put for the outcome.

Hey everyone, I went onto quizlet.com and made up some terms with matching definitions...just search AP European History; creator:nataleeang;tags: cold, war. There are 44 terms total from reading 1 and you can print the info in a terms-and-definition form or in flashcard form. I hope it helps you as much as it helped me...thanks for the suggestion Was!Natalee

Hey Natalee, I just created the quizlet account and found the group feature. I was wondering if you would want to be a part of it? I think it would be good if we got a huge list of the terms for the AP test into quizlet, and if you want to help just tell me.

Sure Matt...sounds cool...I think it'll really help out... Natalee

Hey Natalee & Was what were the Wars of Polish Succession and Bavarian succession? I looked in the book pretty hard and didn't find them.

Its cool that you finally joined the group Natalee. I think I am going to right the URL of it on Was's board tomorrow for others to join if that's okay with Was of course :) Also, if everything runs smoothly I will have a quizlet set of all the wars in the 40 page packet up by tonight.

Also, how much do we have to do of the packet because I might not be able to finish all of it. At the rate I am going I will only finish about 30 pages by next Thursday?

At 9:44 PM, Blogger guennie said...

Was said you dont have to do the whole packet, if you know something well just skip it, go over the stuff you need to revisit... in my case for example it is the wars

At 9:33 PM, Blogger Mayointhefridge said...

Okay so here is what I got:

War of Bavarian succession:

Austria invades Bavaria to make up for losing Silesia to Prussia.

War of Polish succession:

Bourbons and Habsburgs argued over who was rightful heir to Polish throne

heh, forgot my pw all of a sudden today of my other acc...but anyway...

For the Polish War of Succession i got (from the review book)....
1733-1735
The French was arranging for this guy, Stanilas Leszcynski to become king who was the father of Marie Leszcynska who is the wife of King Louis XV of France. Since France already had an influence in most of Europe already, Russia and Austria protested this election. Then the Russian army invaded Poland and a rump Polish diet elected Augustus II, a rival king.
In the war, Stanislas, France, and Spain, France's Bourbon ally versus Augustus III, Russia, and Austria. In the end Augustus III became king in the favor of Russia and Austria.

btw Was, what should i do to better understand the actual thoughts of the different Philosophes during the Enlightenment? i noticed in many review books that the head ap guys like to compare the ideologies of different political leaders to those thinkers in the Enlightenment. I may know the basics of the books and the authors, but thats it. My other weakness are the wars, especially in France where they have one to two wars per unit.
