The Scientific Revolution, Intellectual Modernism

The Renaissance brought a new type of intellect with humanism. With an overemphasis on the ancients such as Aristotle and Galen, little intellectual growth occurred. With the work of da Vinci and others, a new movement began, questioning the once accepted facts.

The Scientific Revolution paralleled the Reformation and radically changed the belief system within the scientific community. With this said, what was the most amazing discovery or thought process created during this time? Explain why you think this is so important?
